After replacing a Spanish version of Windows XP Professional with an English version of Windows XP Media Center Edition, I found I could not reinstall my N360 5.0 or any earlier version for which I had the download. A Norton window comes up that says, "A problem has occurred that needs your attention. The process is unable to continue due to a system service that may not be installed or cannot be started. Please repair your installation of Windows before continuing. Go to technical support website."
At the technical support website I am asked to type services.msc and look for Terminal Services. There is no such listing. I looked it up on my other computer and it's not there either yet my N360 is functioning perfectly.
I don't see how reinstalling my Windows XP MCE will solve this problem. Meanwhile, I've lost several days of protection. Can someone please tell me what to do. I chatted with Norton's Shuji last weekend and he concluded it was not Norton's problem.
I have cleaned both my C and D drives of everything Norton or Symantec. I've installed other programs and don't know why Norton should be an exception.

Your reCAPTCHA is almost impossible for an old man to read. Can't you just use Roman script without scribbling over it?
I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I'll double check the updates, although when I installed it a week or so ago I remember it installing a ton of updates.
Thank you.
Is this reCAPTCHA thing to discourage correspondence? I have to keep doing it over and over until luck accepts my response.
