Hi,
I am having problems in removing Packed Generic 200 from my laptop.
PC details: Windows XP Professional SP 3, running Norton 360 V3
Approximately 3/4 weeks ago i turned the computer on and Norton came up with the message "Packed.Generic.200 Removed Failed", since then, this message keeps appearing whenever I turn my computer on.
At the time, when it first appeared, I took immediate action, ran Ccleaner, Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and the ASquared scan. Some files with uac were found and I deleted them. Since that time my computer has been fine, no operating issues or odd behaviour so I thought that the trojan must have been removed and that Norton is just playing up. However, as my Norton 2009 subscription was due to expire, I went and upgraded to Norton 360 thinking that this should take care of the "Packed Generic" message. Unfortunately, after running the full system scan and applying all settings the Norton message still keeps reappearing every time I turn my computer on. I have re downloaded Malwarebytes (quick scan) and SuperAntiSpyware (full scan) both of which came up clean.
Have attached a pic from the Norton details which shows Packed Generic 200 quarantined but not really sure if I still have this virus lurking about or not.
Would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can provide so that I can get rid of it once and for all.
Still have Malwarebytes and Ccleaner installed. Deleted SuperAntiSpyware.
