I work for an accounting firm. Recently, our partnered IT firm installed Norton Security. Since then, I have suffered horribly slow speeds, with norton eating up half of the meager resources my computer has, and (this is the worst part) I am unable to send emails. Anywhere. It is not just me either, but everyone in our office.
We have Microsoft Office 2010 and use the outlook included there. The norton security version is 22.9.0.71. Every time we send an email, we get the message Error: Too many errors and the email goes to the sent items folder, but is not sent to the client. We have had to manually contact each of our clients per telephone because they did not receive critical letters regarding taxation. I have exhausted every avenue I could think of or find online. I tried the following:
Disabling outgoing email scanning. (which is suggested in other forum posts)
Disabling all email scanning.
Disabling the firewall.
Disabling the norton addin in Microsoft Outlook.
Disabling every norton setting I could find.
In conclusion: short of uninstalling norton completely I have been unable to find a way to send emails at all.
