I hope some assistance may be rendered here:
I installed "Norton Internet Security for Mac Dual Protection" (2009) last year and it expired in june this year. As the subscription had ran out, the virus definitions were not updated whenever Live Update ran (i.e. I would be prompted to make a new subscription purchase)
I recently purchased a copy of the new 2010 version (i.e. Norton Internet Security for Mac (2010)) and tried installing it thinking that it should overwrite/automatically renew the yearly subscription. The installation was ok until it tried to run Live Update. Again the prompter came up and told me my subcription had expired.
I then tried to run the uninstaller and was successful in uninstalling the software (with only some saved data left on my desktop). I gave the installation another go but again the prompter appeared telling me my subscription had expired.
I deleted the saved data and tried again but again it doesn't seem to be able to update. How can I resolve this issue? Is there a subscription code somewhere on the box I may be able to use to key in for a new subscription?
