Hello, my Norton 360 protection has recently expired. I was subscribed to automatic renewal and so got charged for another years worth of protection. I have tried to enter in my product key (located through my account details) and a box appears that reads "unable to verify product key'. I have tried copying the key from 'my account' on norton online and also tried typing in the key manually. Please help!

Please check the system time and date and location. If the time is incorrect, it can prevent the activation.. Are you trying to enter the key where it says renew in the program? It is also possible that you picked up some malware which is preventing activation. If you have automatic renewal, the product should not have expired.
Have you tried Support, subscription status?
