Got my brand new laptop 2 days ago...and i now have a Win32:killApp-w [PUP] whatever that means. I just know its bad. Well it came with free Norton. So I realized I downloaded a virus while trying to download Advanced System Care, got it from the wrong place apparently. Whatever so Norton didn't catch anything and today as I"m attmpting to view a familiar site I get an error message saying the site has been redirected too many times. Chat with Norton, get disconnected. Chat with Norton again, they tell me what to do and I do it, download Power eraser and a full system scan with Norton. Done. Still not able to view the site. Chat with Norton yet again, he does the remote control with my computer does a bunch of stuff and then tells me it's not Norton's fault. I did recieve another 30 das of Norton because my wait time was so long. Well now I'm ready to pull out the big guns and I run Avast boot time scan, which is totally free and it caught the above said virus/trojan/whatever you want to call it. Still can't view the site but I'm running Norton once again to see if it can find the now hopefully marked virus.So far nothing. Any help is appreciated!
[Edit] Finished Norton, nothing. rerunning avast boot scan
