Hello: I checked the security history on my laptop the other day and saw the message in the heading above. The security history showed that these attacks are happening about once per minute or more. I then checked the two desktops on my home network and saw that security history was reporting the same issue on both of them. I rebooted the two desktops in safe mode, disconnected from the internet, and ran a full system scan with Norton 360 and Super Anti-Spyware. All I found were tracking cookies on Norton and I found adware.mywebsearch on Super Anti-Spyware. I deleted all the cookies with Norton 360 and quarantined adware with Anti-spyware. I then rebooted and connected to the Internet. After a few minutes I checked security history again and saw these attacks were continuing. The actor is c:\acer\empoweringtechnology\eperformance/memcheck.exe The target is c:\ProgramFiles\Norton360\Engine\4.3.0.5\ccsvchst.exe Is somebody trying to hack into my home network? What can I do to stop these attacks? Why is this happening? Thank you for any assistance you can offer me.
