Unbelievable shortcomings of Identity Safe

I posted a thread that has been marked "Read Only" even though no real solution was given nor a commitment provided to rectify the situation.

There was one reply in agreement by EssaTD2 before the powers that be shut 'er down.

I'm here to tell ya that I can't even keep track of the number of sites (mostly corporate career or online bill payment) that do not offer to save and/or do not populate credential fields. If they *do* offer to save they do not fill in credentials upon return.

I would say I'm sorry but am not - the product does NOT perform as advertised.

If it does, then the design is flawed and is not designed to be used in what is now the real world.

It's time for Norton/Symantec to step up to the plate and either fix the problem or admit failure, remove the feature, and refund a percentage of what we paid for the product.

I would offer to work one on one with an engineer to collect data for them as I said - there are so many I don't have time to collect it just to hear that it's not designed for this or it will be coming in some vaguely dated fix.

[EDIT CeeGee 02/03/2012]

Did I mention that ID Safe will automatically add indefinite logins to multiple sites under the same domain

i.e. xxxx.mydomain dot com, yyyy.mydomain dot com, mydomain dot com / aaaa.htm etc.

However it will not allow you to edit credentials for any but the first;

and of course

you cannot add multiple entries containing the same domain.

Places like kenexa, brassring etc are all domains

hosting dozens of corporate job application sites

and you can only have one entry in ID Safe.
