Uninstall on old PC and install onto a new PC

Hi, I currently have 3 activiations of NIS2011 Perf Pack active on 3 PC's.  I want to buy a new PC and make use of one of these by uninstalling on one of the existing (old) PC's.  How do I do this without having to buy another activiation?

Welcome,

Download the Norton Removal Tool. Do a control panel uninstall of NIS, reboot and run the NRT, reboot and then shut down. This will prevent anyone hijacking your NIS.

Before you try to install NIS on your new computer be sure that there are no preinstalled security products active on the system. Do a control panel uninstall of Microsoft Security Essentials, the installation of NIS will disable the conflicting parts of Windows Defender, which needs to remain as it is used by other programs.

If there is a trial copy of NIS2012 on the PC keep it. Your key will activate it. Should you get an error message about too many installs please contact customer service here:  http://us.norton.com/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs

they can get things corrected quickly.

Stay well and surf safe

Hello MartinD

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

On  your new computer, you can install either NIS 2011 or NIS 2012. With a current subscription, you are entitled to upgrade to NIS 2012 for free. I will give you the links for both since these links will be more current than the CD's. Your current subscription key will activate either NIS 2011 or NIS 2012.

(thanks to Yaso for the links.

If you choose to, you can upgrade the other 2 computers to NIS 2012. If you are interested in this, please come back and we can give you some hints on how to do it. Thanks.
