Unknown Error with Norton Ghost 14

Hi

I have a number of USB Flash Drives, one of which seems to cause a problem with the operation of my Ghost Version 14.

My usual, and only, backup destination is a USB External HDD (a LaCie 1 Tb) and I don't usually have a problem with this drive and Ghost when making backups.  However, when I connect one of my several USB Flash Drives to my PC I get an error message to the effect that Norton Ghost cannot successfully reconcile changes since last session with a number of error codes.

The USB Flash Drive that causes the problem always shoes up as Drive N and when connected I immediately get a red pop up from Ghost with the warning.  This USB Flash Drive cannot be disconnected using the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon saying the drive is in use by another programme (presumably Ghost).

This problem does not occur with any of my other USB Flash Drives.  I have tried formatting the offending device and uninstalling and reinstalling it but nothing changes.  The drive is empty of data even when I set it to show hidden and system files so I can only assume that it is somehow "known" and "registered" with Ghost as a backup device although it doesn't show up in the Ghost Interface when I look at Manage Backup Devices.

Can anyone throw light onto this problem and suggest a cure.
