Hi. I hope someone can clarify this. I had a message from Norton pop up recently, regarding suspicious outgoing traffic, and asking me to do a Power Eraser scan. I did this, and it found nothing. Other scans have found nothing, and the Norton history log shows that a computer infection was blocked. Since then, I have been seeing history entries I haven't seen before:
Category: Firewall - Activities
Rule \"Default Block SSDP \" rejected UDP(17) traffic with (192.168.1.66 Port (59089) )"
Category: Firewall - Network and Connections
,Info,"Protecting your connection to a newly detected network on adapter \"Software Loopback Interface 1\" (IP address: 127.0.0.1).",
Category: Firewall - Network and Connections
Date & Time,Risk,Activity,Status,Recommended Action,Gateway IP Address
20/05/2016 07:22:33,Info,Connected to a public network. (Teredo tunnel adapter(::0)),Protected,.
These are coming up over and over again. I have no idea what a Teredo tunnel is, but haven't seen this come up until recently.
Does anyone know if these suggest a problem? Norton flags them up as "no action required", but I am a little worried as I haven't seen them until after the possible infection the other day.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Richard
