Unknown password for administrative settings in Norton360 to turn off the program

Recently renewed Norton360 on my computer and my family's. Before installing an unrelated program, I tried to disable Norton360 on my wife's computer through the Norton360 Administrative Settings and was prompted for a password. I don't believe I ever set one for it. I tried every password I've ever used for installed software on my computers and the password for  the Norton Account where I downloaded the program from the web. On my own computer the program just prompts me for how long I want to have it turned off. Can Norton retrieve this from my wife's laptop? Can I simply reinstall the product?

I agree with mdturners assesment, but am also curious why you are in the admin's settings section?

FWIW, whenever I need to turn off my AV proetection to install a program, I use the System Tray Icon.  Right click the Icon, Select Disable Anti-Virus Auto-protect, select the duration and OK.  One thing, insure you have already downloaded your program (if coming from the interent) as turning off this feature also turns of Download Intellegence and SONAR Protection, reducing your system protection.

If the window that is prompting for password is Norton's window then, you might have set the 'Settings Password Protection" for the product settings.

You can reset this password using "reset settings password" link that appears in the right bottom corner of the first sceen during the uninstallation of the product.
