Hi
I have the 2010 Norton Internet Security, but I don't understand how it works, like configuring the firewall, etc. It's different than the previous version I had -- I feel like I can't set anything with the new version.
I'm a teacher and have an online grading program through my school. I have used it for several years, no problem.
This year, when I access the main site, things are fine, but when I go to the grading webpage, I get the "not responding" message. After a few minutes, it looks like it's "Done", but I can't click on anything, and when I finally get a click in, the little hourglass and "not responding" shows up again. A few minutes later, I can proceed, until it happens again (when I submit or change some part of the grading).
I also have recently gotten a message, I think related to Norton -- it reads:
script is not responding.....etc....
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Norton%20Internet%20Security/Engine/18.1.0.37/rfhelper.js:408
I called Norton tech support, and after allowing them to move around my computer, the message was gone. I have no idea what they did, or why. Now it's back, and I'd like to know how to fix it myself, and understand what the problem is.
How do I get rid of the script message related to Norton?
I still think I have a problem with the website -- whether it's some compatibility with Firefox, Norton, or the site itself. But this part is definitely a Norton issue, since the error message cites Norton.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I'll give you extra credit.....!!!!
(oops.....I don't don't give extra credit. but I'll make an exception... wait, no, that would be lowering my standards.....!)
hmmmm....you will have my eternal gratitude!
