I downloaded "Actual Multiple Monitors 8.10.2.exe" from www(dot)displaylink(dot)com/downloads/windows. Download link was www(dot)displaylink(dot)com/downloads/file?id=756. Norton checked the file and passed it as OK, per the attached screen shot. I also checked the file with VirusTotal which flagged it with two viruses- per the attached screenshot. This is not the first time I am experiencing these types of problems. I trust Norton will address these types of issues in the near future. Thank you.
Sorry, but I must disagree with your conclusion. Only two VirusTotal scanners out of 64 alerted to this. Being in agreement with 97% of the scanners would not indicate to me that Norton has an issue that needs addressing. Not all antivirus products will detect all threats at the same time, and some detections are simply false positives. Moreover, VirusTotal is not a comparative tool, and using it for that purpose will not produce a reliable indication of any one product's superiority over another, as VirusTotal itself points out:

Those who use VirusTotal to perform antivirus comparative analyses should know that they are making many implicit errors in their methodology, the most obvious being:
VirusTotal's antivirus engines are commandline versions, so depending on the product, they will not behave exactly the same as the desktop versions: for instance, desktop solutions may use techniques based on behavioural analysis and count with personal firewalls that may decrease entry points and mitigate propagation, etc.
In VirusTotal desktop-oriented solutions coexist with perimeter-oriented solutions; heuristics in this latter group may be more aggressive and paranoid, since the impact of false positives is less visible in the perimeter. It is simply not fair to compare both groups.
Some of the solutions included in VirusTotal are parametrized (in coherence with the developer company's desire) with a different heuristic/agressiveness level than the official end-user default configuration.
