it says "coming soon" right now but according to jensm the betas will appear there around 2 july....... when they are made publically available u can click on the respective product links which will then take u to the registration pages to join the beta program and then download the beta product....hope this helps.......
The details for registering, downloading and so forth should be posted by the moderators as soon as they become available. Currently they are aiming for the 2nd of July, but details may be posted a bit earlier than the actual launch; we shall see!!
Ofcourse, if there is an actual process to follow to become a beta tester, I am unaware of it:-) And I would like to know for sure!!
no matt.... there is no formal process to become a beta tester.... all are welcome to beta test as long as they are aware of the consequences of a beta product screwing up.... has never happened with me for norton though........
Hi, I was one of those who found the 2010 Beta and installed it, on my Windows 7 machine. Can anyone tell me where I can find a 2009 for Windows 7 download (I know it's been withdrawn, but I'm now unprotected) or do I have to go and buy another product as a result of a Symantec mistake?

Thanks for any guidance anyone can offer
You can still use that version until it will be expired (after the 7 day trial), and then on 2nd July you will be able to download the new one.
I hope to see your both when we officially launch Public Beta for 2010. It's going to be exciting!
Atleast you can count me in. :D I had already built up a list with about 20 things when testing the Alpha, since I thought it was indeed the beta. xD Don't worry - not all were bugs. :P It was a mix of bugs, observations, questions, etc.
12. Questions: Long ago there was an article about your cloud-technology - is this a part of 2010 edition through SONAR or similar, or is it not able at all yet? When can we expect it as it's a technology seen everywhere by now and with great importance to increase protection against zero-day malware? 13. Questions: Could you give us some information on how the Vulnerability Protection, and are there any other new features introduced through 2010 or only improvements? Are those improvements to the core of Norton's protection against (emerging) threats? How does Vulnerability Protection actually work, and how can I be sure that it finds the products on my system so it can protect them? 14. Question: Are we able to use the "Beta Downloader" for new beta builds as well?
I had to ask my questions from my list and you can answer what you're "allowed" to answer or whatever it's. :D Some I may already know the answer to by now, but I'll just paste them here and you can just answer informatively - only makes it better to come from the official source. ;)
is it ok if we answer the questions once the beta is out? We are currently preparing technical details for all new features. Once the beta is out we will be able to share it. Some features have been renamed. If we discuss it now then we might cause a lot of confusion. This year we have decided to share more details with our community, which should be good for the discussion in this forum.

Thanks, jens. The reason the numbers are as they're in that post is because I directly copied them from my text-file. ;) The items before were bugs and observations.
I think that it is great, really great, that symantec have started to "listen" to the customers and build a Product that suits the Customer, and not just the Company. And I also think, if you - and symantec - stick to what you mentioned about sharing "more details with our community". And I would like to assist symantec, and customers, as best I can.
hahaha… like the way u put it huwyngr… btw appreciate ur participation in the beta programs… have been here since norton 360 v3 beta… and have never missed ur presence
Could we get a longer beta test for NIS 2010? I have expired both Norton 360 beta and NIS 2009 beta and now have to resort to other brands to protect my computer running Windows 7 RC. None appeal to me as much as Norton security products. I have a subscription to NIS 2009 (3 computers), and am getting the well known heuristic driver problem when I install that.
