I have Norton 360 (version 4.3.0.5), and I am facing two problems with it. First of all, my online back-up storage space is full, and I cannot remove any unnecessary files from it, so as to back up new data. I have tried to do it via my Norton Online Account, but there is no "delete files" option available. Whenever I try to purge my storage space through my Manage Back-Up Sets Page, a message appears informing me that no files can be deleted, because this is my only back-up set and I need to have at least one.
In addition to that, I have been trying to update to the latest version of Norton 360 (n. 5), and while the downloader works fine, the new version is impossible to install. Instead, I get a message that reads "An unrecoverable error has occured. Please contact technical support".
Can you please try either of these two options for deleting the files from the Online Backup set
1. Manage Backup set -> Where tab : Choose the destination as Secure Online Storage and then Click on 'Delete Backed up files' link present at the bottom of the page. This should list all the backup sets from the Online storage. Choose the Backup set and then proceed with the Delete operation.
2. Or Traverse to the Norton Backup Drive folder available under My Computer. Choose the Online Back up set and hit on DELETE key
Over the years I have had various Norton products on several different computers, and my online backup is nearly full. It says I have 8.5GB free out of 59GB.
I seem to have 6 different backup sets under different computer names, and I only have access to and can only purge the latest backup from my new computer (running Windows 7, Norton 360 premier5.1.0.29).
I have tried deleting all these backups using the Norton Backup Drive system folder, and while the backups appear to have disappeared from there, when I am back online looking at the backups they are all still there, and still using 50.5GB of space.
I updated my multiuser licence Norton 360 Premier on both my laptop (running Vista Norton 360 premier5.1.0.29) and desktop so they have the same expiration date, and would like to be abe to backup both to the online backup.
Please how do I get rid of all the backup sets from other computers and start again with 59GB free!
Thank you so much for your swift reply. I had been trying to delete my back ups via the Manage Back Up set, but it wouldn't allow me to delete them because there is only one set of back ups and it is necessary to have at least one. Likewise, my online Norton Account wouldn't provide me with a "delete back ups" option either, most likely for the same reason.
I tried your second suggestion, which was new to me. For some strange reason, my Online Back Up Folder (available under My Computer) is empty !
Did you try the first option via the Manage Backup set -> Where tab : Choose the destination as Secure Online Storage and then Click on 'Delete Backed up files' link present at the bottom of the page. This is from the Where tab and not from the Summary Page.
Is the Delete Backed up file link enabled when you choose the Destination as Online Storage from the Manage Backup set -> Where page?

Dear Kavitha,
Once again thank you for your reply ! You are right, the Delete Backed Up File link is not enabled when I choose Online Storage from the Where page. I also keep having problems with updating to version 5.1.0.29. I never had any problems updating before. Other than that, my Norton works perfectly well.
You can get all the data from the Online Storage Space purged by contacting the Symantec Technical Support team. Go to the following link, and use the option of Live Chat:
