Update for Norton 360 kills Identiy Safe Toolbar in Firefox.

Updated Norton 360 to latest version on 1/31/13.  As a result, Identity Safe has disappeared from my Firefox browser.  It was there and functioning before the update. Norton 360 was the only update applied. Firefox was already running at 16.0.2 and Identity Safe was functioning fine.

All of my efforts to restore have failed, mostly because the tool bar no longer shows up under View|Toolbars, or when r-clicking a blank tool bar area. Here are details:

  • Norton 360 V 20.2.1.22
  • Firefox 16.0.2
  • Norton Toolbar Extension 2012.5.7.2 is Enabled (It is not updating to new version)
  • Norton Vulnerability Protection 11.1.1.5-3 is Enabled
  • Identity Safe is checked under Quick Controls
  • Under Identity Protection Details, Safe Web, AntiPhishing, and Identity Safe are all ON
  • All of my Identity Protection Features are turned ON
  • I can log into Identity Safe thru N360, edit logins, sync with account, etc.
  • I have reinstalled Norton 360 a second time, and run LiveUpDate  multiple times, rebooting each time.
  • I tried to update Firefox, but it clearly stated that Toolbar was incompatible with V18 of Firefox, so I canceled out of the update,.
  • I tried disableing Firefox from saving passwrods, also turned off in 360, no joy, as you say
  • Identity Safe is not providing any passwords for my logins at present, even though it is supposedly running.

I downloaded the latest Identity Safe from your website, but have not installed it.
