I received an email from Norton Online family to update the Online family. I updated my supervising PC with no problem. However, after I updated the Online Family using REPLY link from Norton email in my child's PC, the browsers in my child's PC stop working. Now, that PC has no way of connecting to Internet even. Whenever I open a browser, IE or Firebox, the process just hang. Browser process shows up in system process and running but nothing on the screen. Whenever, I open the browser, the whole PC just hang there!
I took next step by trying to de-install the Norton Family using Control Panel, then Norton UNinstall screen goes to endless loop.
Basically, the update process caused my PC non-usable. My son cannot use his PC to get online to do his homework. Now, I am thinking of reformatting the disk. Wipe out the whole system and start from scratch!
Any suggestions will help. It is very frustrating.
