I just found out that on both of my computers running NIS 2009 16.7.2.11 norton insight now trusts all of the files related to the new patch. For me this made 92% of my files trusted instead of 76% just earlier today.
Since norton insight is marking these files as trusted I think we can now assume that 16.7.2.11 will be the last incarnation of the 16.7 patches. Also, barring any further liveupdate server problems, I think we can also assume that the 16.7.2.11 build will soon be re-added to live update and distributed at an even faster rate, or at the very least be published for manual download within the coming week.
Would someone from symantec please confirm if these assumptions are true so we may get a clearer understanding about the future of the 16.7.2.11 patch.
