On my norton table it is showing software update available for Microsoft edge but everytime I try to update it says it can't because I need to close program. I have tried restarting and as far as I am aware edge is not open -does it mean I have to uninstall??
Yes it seemed to do it itself! all sorted
The problem whit edge is if ther is somthing running in the back ther is call edge you can not update it in software updater so the best why to update edge is in edge ore close all in task manager ther is name edge then you can do it
Use task manager to close all instances of Edge that are running in the foreground and background and then you can update via the Norton software updater.
Alternatively you can update Edge within the app itself via check for updates without using the Norton software updater.
