I have Norton Internet Security on a windows 10 laptop. I had my laptop off the last few days. I turned it on this morning and manually ran live updates knowing that v 22.9.0.68 is being released . So I get an update containing a few updates that required me to restart my computer after installing them. After doing so, I ran live update again and found a few more updates to install. So now I have Norton Internet Security v 22.9.0.68 which is great.
But out of curiosity, I looked at the recent updates that I installed and found what I think is odd. One of the updates is noted as Norton Power Eraser ( 3.77MB). Now to the best of my knowledge, I have never installed or used Norton Power Eraser on any of my machines. So is this an update for power eraser? Or did the update install Norton Power Eraser ?
I checked my computers programs by name and date installed and see nothing about Norton Power Eraser.
So what is this and why?? When I ran live update it gave me no option as to if I wanted Norton Power Eraser.
Does anyone else see this in their recent Norton updates?
