Updated but still on 19.2.0.10

I have run live update many times and all I get is pulse updates, but I am still on 19.2.0.10.  I live in Maryland.  This result is on my desktop computer.  I just ran live updaed on my laptop and it did the updare which required a reboot it was 10mb in size, after the reboot it was still i=on the same version so I did another update which was 35mb in size the second update brought me up to the new version on my laptop, but still no luck on my desktop.

My version shows 19.2.0.10 as well. I came in to work this morning and saw a message that Norton needed me to reboot my computer. I did. Still on 19.2. I have run LU abot 6 times and only a few small updates. Nothing requiring another reboot. So I am stuck on 19.2.0.10. Is there any solution to this? I am in Florida and am running an english based machine with up to date Windows 7.

I am also on 19.2.0.10 and can't update to version 19.5. 0.145.  When I manually run LiveUpdate, I get the pulse updates, activitity map update, etc. or no updates found.  Right now I am getting worried and mad.  I can't update to Firefox 10 until I get updated to version 19.5.  My computer is Windows XP with Service Pack 3.  Wish Syamntec could provide some insight into this matter.

Hello Vortexfugue

Are you using the English Version?

Yes, I'm using the English version.. it's really becoming frustrating that I'm unable to update.

I finally got my desktop updated.  I had to uninstall NIS first then reinstall and apply all the updates!  In the process of the uninstall Ghost 15 became corrupted so I had to unstall and reinstall Ghost!  What a pain!!!!

Please don't tell me I'm going to have to reinstall, Norton.. there has to be an easier way.. sheez... darn is this frustrating, and I paid a nice chunk for this software too.. grrr.

I only updated one machine when the initial test release was announced, which was done successfully.  Since the patch was completely, officially released, I've been unable to update any of the other machines (4 more).  I've tried updating/restarting about half a dozen times, but no luck on any of the others.

I just chatted with Rajesh of Customer Support and he says the inline update is not yet available for all English users and that the server selected those who have it at random, and he said to give it a few more days. Can somebody from Norton confirm that this is the case?

Hello Vortexgugue,

The update is available for all English users of the 2012 products. Sorry for the confusion.

Have you tried fully rebooting the computer? When you run LiveUpdate, does it tell you any of the updates failed? Does it say the product is up-to-date?

I just did a restart earlier.. I'll do a full shutdown and restart.. when I run LiveUpdate, sometimes a couple of them fail, but then when I run it again they work.. yes, it always says the product is up to date.. this is very very frustrating.

Hi Vortexfugue,

Sorry for the frustration! Please let us know if you still see the issue after a shutdown and restart. Don't worry, we'll get this figured out! :smileyhappy:

I've run Live Update repeatedly, and re-booted several times.  Still not showing the updated version.

Hi Stephen11,

Which Norton Product and Version are you running? Check Support/About for the exact version number.

Yes, I still see the same issue.. I shutdown, left it turned off for a couple minutes, then restarted, then ran LiveUpdate, and it just updated the usual couple short ones, definitions, etc.. but that was it.. and it always says it's then up to date. I really would like to get the inline update.

NIS 2012.  Version 19.20.10

Hi Vortexfugue,

[edit: thanks for sending me the info]

Hello Stephen11,

[edit: Thanks for sending the info]

I have the same problem on 2 machines.  Both of these machines are running Win 7 64bit.

I have Windows 7 64 bit.  I can't find that file.

Hi Vortexfugue,

Can you gather this file and then email it to me?

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Norton\{*guid*}\Norton\LUE\Logs\log.lue

Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Norton\{*guid*}\Norton\LUE\Logs\log.lue

My email address is the same as my username here @symantec.com.

Thanks, Tim, just sent.
