ok I just ran live update. When I look in the
Windows> Control Panle> Security and click on Symantec live update
Under update cache, I see the same amount of of MB 418.79 that I had prior to the update. Some type of error message came up saying the live update could not connect.
However- When I go to C:\Programdata\Symantec\Definitions\Virusdefs\
I have a folder that just downloaded and the folder title is
20090827.002
I also ran a quick scan and had some tracking cookies. I fixed them and when I checked the scan details it indicated the Virus Definition Version as 2009.08.27.002
so I think I have the update but the cache hasn't changed and I got that weird error message
when I run live update again, it says I'm up to date
