Updates are coming that will prevent Office Outlook from receiving email

I've just seen this very important announcement, purely by chance:

I've just posted there that the link they've provided to determine the version of Outlook you have doesn't actually have an "About Outlook" link - or if it's there I can't find it.

I've also asked them to identify the update(s) and when they're due to arrive. I downloaded 19 MS updates a few days ago but can still receive emails - as far as I can see. 

Yet again, I've postponed setting up my new Win10 laptop. (I can't find a smiley for 'chickening out'.)

So if you're having no problems with Microsoft products, you won't visit their Community to learn about this. [On reflection perhaps "having no problems with Microsoft products" is an oxymoron?]
