Updates Friday 21st June 2013

Apologies, in advance, as I've no doubt what I'm about to ask has already been covered somewhere. This is my first post and I've no real idea how to locate an answer even if there is one. I have tried a search for "patch" but no luck. Here goes:-

 

Sometime over the weekend there was another update which involved a "restart to apply patch now" thing. This I did as usual and the bad times returned.

 

The "settings", "quick scan" and "full scan" buttons stop working. This was happenning a lot in Feb this year but hasn't happened since. The only way to resolve this as fas as I have discovered is to uninstall and reinstall NIS. I think at one point after installing NIS2013 for the first time I had to reinstall it 6 times in one week. This clearly isn't good enough.

 

Could someone please tell me what is going on?

 

I've bought NIS every year since 2004 and the past 2 years have been a nightmare. I think Norton gave up caring in 2010.

I didn't think their product could get any worse than last years but, 6 months in, I'm thinking it can.

 

If this carries on I will not be buying Norton any more.
