upgrade 22.5.2.15 turned off file and print sharing by default

On my old Dell running Vista, my Norton 360 installed the latest upgrade 22.5.2.15. The next day I discovered that that PC couldn't print to printers on my home network. Somewhere (?) in the OS I saw that printer sharing was turned off which I couldn't understand why. Shortly after that I saw a notice from Norton informing me of some issue regarding the Chrome browser, which I don't use but have installed. That reminded me that Norton upgraded the day before- so I took a good look at its manual and discovered that it turned off all print and file sharing over networks, by default. I saw that I could turn sharing back on and did so successfully. But, I think it's bad behavior of a program to turn off such a feature without some warning. If I wasn't a fairly advanced computer user, I'd still be struggling with this problem. I think it might have been better if Norton SUGGESTED that sharing should be turned off in a dialogue box after doing the installation, rather than just doing it with no warning.
