Hi CliveL,

Perhaps this post will give you some insight into another user's experience with Identity Safe. ProTruckDriver uninstalled NIS 2008 via Add-Remove Programs.

Do not use the Norton Removal Tool or you will loose everything.

Just to add to that, when un-installing via Add/Remove, you are given the option if you want to keep the Previous Log-ins on your computer.

If you get a bad install of N.I.S. 2009, or, for whatever reason, you use the N.R.T., then the I.S. will still be there, if I re-call correctly.

After using the NRT tool all my I.S. wre gone.

I am using the backup/restore-option in Identity Safe regularly.

This gives me the freedom to use the best method

for uninstalling NIS.

I and do not have to worry loosing my credentials.

Last line should read:

And I do not have to worry loosing my credentials.

Sorry for that.
