Did this ever get resolved???
I've been running NIS for years now. I upgraded a few months back to 2010 on my lap top (Windows Vista) with no problems. Then a few weeks ago I upgraded my CPU to 2010 as well (Windows XP) and I am having this exact problem.
When I first install NIS 2010 and reboot, the computer freezes in the Windows XP loading screen. So then I reboot using the last known good configuration. Now windows loads, but I get this problem that is described in this post:
first, I have to manully open NIS several times before it finally opens, and then, just as the first poster described... I run 'One Click Support', it runs a bit, then crashes, saying 'hsie2010 application has stopped working', The status bar continues to climb in percentage as windows keep popping up explaining that hsie2010 keeps crashing. Once the status bar reaches 100%... NOTHING.
