We've now enabled the feature for all forum members to upload their own avatars to the Norton Forums. The available space for the avatar is 64px by 36px, if you wish to create your own. However, if you choose an image larger than this size, it will be scaled to fit.
Here's how you add a custom avatar:
1) Click your name at the top of the page (to get your profile. Mine is here)
2) Click "View Image Gallery", and browse for an image to upload. Once uploaded, it will be in the queue for a Moderator to approve. Your avatar must conform to the rules for all content as stated in the Terms of Service.
3) Once approved, go to My Settings > Avatars tab > From Your Image Gallery
4) Click the image you wish to use
You're all set! Let me know if you have any questions about this change.
If someone wants to pick an Avatar from the choices that are listed now under Avatars in My Settings, would those avatars be cut down to the smaller size also?
Thanks we really appreciate the freedom to display our own avatars...of course done nicely and to fit in with this forums rules.Where's our resident photoshop man...Oh Phil !!!!!

Just to be clear, do you mean the images that already exist in your photo gallery? If so, then YES, any image that you've uploaded to the Norton Forums can be an avatar.
I was referring to the selection of avatars that are listed in the Avatar section under From Norton Community. Would those avatars be cut down to the smaller size also? The pictures of the Avatars listed in the "From Norton Community" are larger in size than the current new avatars are. So would those get cut down in size also if used?
