I have Norton 360 and Norton Utilities. Now they are telling me that these are rubbish and I need to spend another £30 for yet more stuff! No!! I am not spending more. If the Norton products I have bought are not doing the job I certainly will not be renewing. Please can someone from Norton reply?

It worked. Thank you but it should not have been necessary.
Maybe, some users benefit from Smart Scan.
Maybe, some users benefit from Special Offer Notification On.
If you know your machine is okay. Then ignore Norton adverts. I do.
Note: Special Offer Notifications Off does not stop all Norton pop-ups.

lucker 57:I have turned off the special notifications and am running the scan to see what happens. It is Norton itself that is telling me it's rubbish. After scanning and running utilities it tells me there are STILL many problems and I need to throw more money to Norton in order for them to do the job I thought i had already paid for.
I hear you. Yep, either your machine has "many problems" or Norton is "upselling".
When Smart Scan reports issues, my side. It's usually temp files and Norton tracking cookies.

Curious, do you have Special Offer Notifications On or Off?
With Special Offer Notifications Off. I see fewer Norton advert pop-ups.
for example: Smart Scan with Special Offer Notifications Off
Smart Scan with Special Offer Notifications On
Note: View Solution calls Norton advert pop-ups.
Note: Special Offer Notifications Off does not stop all Norton pop-ups.
