I really hope I am not infected, but a little worried. Here is my system:
Windows Vista x64
Norton Internet Security 2009
Email client: Microsoft Outlook 2007 (using Outlook Connector to connect to MS Hotmail account)
Recent install: Microsoft Sync Center (for my new Blackjack II cell phone)
Using Firefox 3.0.5 w/ AdBlock Plus and NoScript
Lately I am getting the following error come up on the screen when I am not using email:
Symantec Email Proxy cannot scan your email messages because your network is not properly configured.
Now, what I've read online leads me to worry this might be a virus, except all of the messages I've seen so far online have the following number underneath: "1003, 13. In my situation, the number is "1003, 16". Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Not experiencing anything else that would lead me to think I'm infected (no slowdowns, Hijack This log doesn't show anything unusual).
Is anyone else getting this?
