Howdy,
Long time Norton user, first time poster.
I have been trying to try out NBRT, just in case, on USB thumb drive.
I have added 32-bit drivers so that NPE seems to work. It seems to download updates and then gives "Error getting system path 0x80045006.0"...
I have looked for responses on this forum and elsewhere, but not found anything really helpful. I am not having virus problems now (as far as I know). I am just preparing. Any help would be appreciated. If there has been a relevant discussion that I missed, directing me to it would also be appreciated.
I did find some discussions, but they all seemed to go off into situations that are not relevant. I am using an HP EliteBook 8540w with Windows 7 Professional x64. NIS is installed. To get the error I am booting off a writable USB created with the Retail version of NBRT. I do not have a raid. The non-NPE scan does seem to work. NPE does work from the harddisk. I have tried making a CD and that seems to have the same problem.
If I go into command mode from NBRT, does show X:\windows\system32 or some such, but I believe that is because of the way a USB boot works. My normal system path is C:\Windows\System32.
Any help is appreciated.
Marshall
Hi Marshall,
I have sent you a personal message mentioning how to collect logs. Kindly follow the steps and send back the .etl file for us to analyze the issue.
Thanks in advance.
FYI -
The latest on this problem required tracelog.exe. The elt file is attached changing the "etl" to "log".
