I own a subscription for Norton Antivirus (single PC) for my laptop. Unfortunately, the hard drive failed and is irreparable. I was able to get most of my files off (whatever wasn't already backed up), but now I'm trying to figure out how to handle my Norton subscription as the subscription is valid through summer of 2011. I tried looking through the site and support pages for a solution, but didn't see one that fit this sort of problem.
I plan on getting a new computer next month. So. Is there a way for me to use the remaining subcription on the new PC? I don't think I have a CD for my product, either, so is there a way to download a copy without paying for a new key/subscription? Or, if I manage to find a CD for my initial product (which is probably way out of date), can I use that to install it, use my orphaned key/sub and be able to update the product to the latest version without an additional charge?
Thanks in advance,
