Used storage greater than calculated storage

Recently I have noticed how my used storage is getting closer an closer to the limit 25GB, it is now 21.9GB yet my calculated storage is only 18.5 GB.  Please can you tell me why and what I can do about this, other than buy more storage, as it is either an error or there is a good reason that for some reason is being withheld from users.

Can anyone give me a useful answer?

Same here my storage used is about twice the calculated storage.

I have the same problem.  Have any of you purged files?  I've seen posts where after purging files, you may not get credit for the space.  Something about NOBU didn't reset the quota.  All the posts about this problem end up with one of the tech guys telling the user that he will do it manually.  I PM'd one of them yesterday, but no reply yet.

Hello all.  I'm no expert but have some thoughts...  Have you been backing up to online storage for a while?  NOBU and many other backup apps store old versions of files when new versions are backed up (apparently N360 doesn't do this, to my sorrow).  Usually the number of stored versions is predetermined by default or selection, or determined by age, say 90 days.  The storage calculation shows the size for one backup of the data as it stands on your computer at the time of calculation, but if you've changed a lot of files over time, multiple versions of those files may be stored invarious backups in storage, which can run up your total storage size.  Also, moving a file but not otherwise changing it causes it to flag for backup again; I'm not sure if NOBU or N360 automatically deduplicate in this case (am about to test this).  Deleting files from the computer or removing them from the backup set (the "what" list) won't purge them from your storage.  All these factors can cause "backup buildup" over time.  Deduplicating and purging can be onerous, but even AHDH me can avoid most of the pain by staying on it regularly.  If you haven't already resolved your issue, I hope this helps; if you have, pardon this epistle ;->
