Useless Norton on-line chat and phone support!

I tried on-line chat and phone support because nis.exe was constantly running and using between 25-70% of my cpu.  Neither chat or phone support helped.  Unbelievabley, they both said nis,exe needed to run constantly and both ignored the problem of excessive cpu usage.  I finally found an answer elsewhere online and uninstalled NIS and re-installed.  Guess what, nis.exe no longer runs constantly and when it does, cpu is around 0.16%.  I probably won't be going with Norton when my subscription runs out since their support is so unbelievable useless!
