User IDs on web pages are coming up as Chinese characters

Using 360 v.6:  A couple of months ago, I started seeing an occasional user id in chinese characters on my laptop which I keep at my parents' house. My desktop, at my house, started doing the same thing today. I have not gone to any chinese based websites. The principal place I see this is on Scottrade.com and BuyandHold.com...investing sites. I have verified that I am not being re-directed on either computer and am at the actual websites I intend to visit. Anybody have any idea what would be causing the Chinese characters to popup instead of the English I normally use?

I think what you are probably seeing are Unicode placeholders, rather than Chinese characters.  Is this only happening with Identity Safe logins?  There was an issue with this earlier in the year with the 2012 products.  If it is happening in general, rather than just Norton, you might experiment with the character encoding option in you your browser (try Unicode UTF-8).  See the following threads for discussions of the earlier issue:
