I have installed 2011 Norton Internet Security on my desktop computer with no problems. Since the last quarter of 2010, I have had difficulty downloading virus definitions and the whitelist (only those two items). Everything else downloads and is processed without any problem. In the past several weeks, I have downloaded the virus definitions from another computer onto a stick and then put the stick into my desktop and the virus definitions were updated.
Now within the last two days, this process will not work and everything freezes up! Did Norton have a corrupt file? Now suddenly I get a message that I can't run the file in DOS? What's this all about?
