I have installed 360 and things are working pretty well. One of my concerns is that someone has installed spyware on my computer. They had access and could have easily performed the download or disc install. My scans are clean except for the usual cookie, but I still get occasional episodes where my cursor zig-zags from the top of the screen to the bottom as though a screen snapshot is being created. This would be very helpful to my soon-to-be ex because I have been working on legal documents and he would see them in advance if he is having email generated by the program and sent to him (as many of the programs offer this option).
Does 360 check for the type of spyware I have described? Any suggestions? Is there a way to see if email is being sent behind the scenes (monitoring outbound traffic)? Only my email addresses should be sending messages outbound.
Thank You!
Thank You for such a prompt reply! When I get home this evening, I will update the mouse driver and try the antibot download. I had Defender loaded before I installed 360, but I think there was a conflict and I got rid of Defender. Mabe Antibot will work well.
Thank You again for your help!
If you are still concerned you may be infected with spyware, download and run both Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and also SuperAntiSpyware. Update the definitions for both, and run a full system scan with each.
As cgoldman also suggested, download the trial of Norton AntiBot and try that as well.
Let us know how you get on.
Thank you also for your prompt response! I checked the mouse driver using the mouse troubleshooter in Windows XP and I have the current driver - no problems with the mouse were detected. I did not try the download last night, but plan to do it tonight. I will advise once scans are complete.
Also, is there a way using 360 to see outbound internet traffic?
Sorry perhaps I was not clear. It happens !
Even though the mouse driver etc looks ok, it is often the mouse drive files which are confused shall we say. Uninstalling and reinstalling actually most often fixes this problem. It may or may not work in your case, I accept but looking at the driver and release is not sufficient.
Thank You. I will try to uninstall the driver, then reinstall. I actually used the troubleshooter and had it search for new versions of the mouse driver and none was found. The system actually responded with a message telling me that the mouse was operating properly and no newer version of the software was found…
Ok, I downloaded and ran SuperAntiSpyware Free Version as recommended. Summary of Scan Log:

Ops... Someone asked for the version of Norton 360 -- From the Version.Dat File:
[Versions]
PublicVersion=15.0.0
PublicRevision=15.0.0.1
InternalVersion=15.0.0
InternalRevision=15.0.0.1
If you need other data about the software, let me know. Thank you all for your support!
I can help perhaps. Firstly, if you need more help it may be useful to post your version of Norton 360 and the release.
The mouse issue I have seen before. It has nothing to do with the operation of Norton 360 (which is of course the purpose of this forum). I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse driver. Make sure you get the latest version from the manufacturer.
I would suggest downloading Norton antibot link here. It does not interfere with Norton 360 and has a different detection engine. You could also download Malwarbytes or other scanners but some may require the uninstallation of Norton 360. You can also run Windows Defender (depending on your operating system and if you loaded same) and then run "MRT" [ Microsoft Malicious Software Tool] from a command or run prompt.
