Using Ghost 11.5 image fails to work on windows 7 64 bit computer

I created and image from a windows 7, 64 but computer without errors.  When trying to restore the created image it fails.  The message says "No Boot Disk Found".   Is there a fix for this problem?  I need to upgrade my entire school from XP to Win 7 and need this to work.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you forgot the system reserved partition (SRP).

Windows 7 usually has a hidden SRP partition that contains the boot files and is the active partition.

Check your source computer in disk management and see if it is present.

Good catch, Dave. "No Boot Disk Found" was not the error message.

Everytime I see that I figure it's "No Bootable Device Found".

Just like "BootMBR is missing" :)

Hi

Can please tell me how I go about checking the boot files?

Thanks

You said your updating all the computers in your school. So you must have one system your using as the "master", (source) that you are setting up the way you want all the other ones to end up like.

Go to that windows 7 system and open disk management, I think you will find that in addition to the windows partition you already imaged there is another hidden partition that has the boot file, it may be marked active and system.
