Using Ghost 15 to backup a Microsoft Server 2003 machine

In a couple of weekends I will be upgrading some software that runs on Microsoft Server 2003.

As an 'insurance' policy I would like to backup the entire server before doing the upgrade and am wondering if Ghpst 15.0 would be a good way to do this?

My thoughts are that I could do a full backup of the entire server to another drive (using Ghost 15) , do the upgrade and if anything goes wrong then i can put the system back to how it was before I tried the upgrade.

Can anyone anticipate any problems that might arise, using Ghost 15?

Incidentally, I will be backup up to an external Western Digital 1 TB drive, connected using USB 2.0.
