While downloading a copy of Adobe Flash, a virus/malware (VAFMusic Toolbar) apparently piggybacked itself onto my Windows 8 PC. It appears every time I open my copy of the FireFox engine.
After spending the better part of 4 hours searching for solutions, I've given up and coming to this forum to see if anyone has found a solution to this problem.
I've run Norton Internet Security, CCleaner, SUPERAntiSpyware, and one other antiviruse program both in safe mode and regular mod with no success.
Please help.
Hi hootond
I find spybot deletes toolbars and running it safe mode can delete what it finds in normal mode but in normal mode it fails to delete it. Don’t forget to get updates after installing. NIS appears to be disabled in safe mode only allowing a full scan, so it might be wise to disconnect from the internet.
You might like to backup your personal data and identity safe if you use it.
Spybot needs a registry back up performed first use mzbackup. When installing uncheck the teatime option as it is real time protection that can conflict with Norton.
