I use Windows Live Mail and Windows 7. In 2012 I had Norton Internet Security and a month before my subscription ended I upgraded to 2013. I then bought NIS 2013. Whilst I had 2012 I blocked several ISPs as I was getting unwanted spam. Now I am seeing wanted Emails coming in to my inboxes and then vanishing. They are not in any spam folder they just vanish. I have checked and double checked all my Norton settings but cannot see why this is happening. Even my Norton verification email vanished but luckily it was saved in my web mail account with my ISP. Can anyone please tell me what is happening to my emails. I uninstalled Windows Live Mail 2011 and installed Windows Live Mail 2012 Thanks.
Hi rogertreeby,
First, check your message rules to see if there is a rule that might be causing this. Second, disable Norton AntiSpam and Norton Email Scanning to see if these may be causing the issue. Are the messages disappearing before, or after, you read them?
Hi By chance I found out what was causing my emails to vanish and I am pleased to report that Norton was not to blame. Somehow in Windows Live mail the option "Safe List only" had been selected. Now that this has been altered I am receiving all my emails and they no longer vanish. Roger
