Jan 5, 2022, Norton sent an email to me stating that a new account had been opened in my name on Dec 2, 2021, and asked me to verify, YES - NO. I do not remember, but if I answer NO an investigation probably is begun even though I had opened the new account. If I answer YES and actually I had not, then someone has access to a new account in my name. Norton needs to acquire some common sense and supply factual data to the inquiry.
Do not click on anything in that email. First thing to check is if it is a legitimate Norton email. Is this email from Norton legitimate?
It is likely a scam and when you click any links or buttons in the email, it would take you to where you would be asked for personal or payment information that the scammers could use to access your account or your banking information.
