Verify Site Ownership for Norton Safe Web

I have placed my verification code but it will not automatically verify.  Could someone please verify and initiate my site scan?

I read that in another post and followed those directions.  I have the file uploaded but the verification from within Safe Web fails.

 

I contacted my hosting company and the file is in the right directory.

Okay.

 

I see you have a keywords meta tag on your home page. You can add the nortonsw authentication code there.

 

Use your site building program to edit the keywords. Copy and paste the File Content from your email registration (the 128 character authentication code) after your current keywords.

 

Example: .... dog obedience,dog whisperer training, tmk-kesgpr3....    (Norton SW File Content is highlighted in blue text just for clarity)

 

Although this method will not allow for the automated verification, it should assist the Safe Web team in verifying your site.

 

Let me know when you have completed this step and I will check that the code is properly located. Also, please post the URL of your home page in your reply, just to speed the process.

Hi Phil,

 

Thanks again for your reply.  I use SiteBuildIt.. and they limit the characters I can use for keywords so the 28 character code will not fit. The site builder allows for 5 keywords and has a character limit.  I can only fit 14 more characters not 28.
