Verizon requires e-mail port change

Hi ALL,

I'm running NIS 2010 and everything is running fine.  However, my ISP is Verizon and they are changing the port used by outgoing mail from the default of 25 to 587.  I made the change and I am able to send outgoing mail, but I don't think NIS is scanning it any more even though the setting indicate it should.  In the past when I sent an e-mail the e-mail program (Win Live Mail, under Win 7 - 64 bit) would say that the e-mail was sent but then a pop-up box would appear from NIS saying that it was scanning the outgoing mail, and a few seconds later the green progress bar would flash across.

Now with the outgoing port set to 587, the e-mail is sent but I no longer get the pop-up box indicating that the outgoing e-mail was scanned.  Is there some setting in NIS somewhere that I need to change.  I looked but could not find anything.

Thanks,

Gerry
