Very Persistent Virus, Assistance Appreciated!

About 2 weeks ago I was sent a file via email that installed a program which turned out to be a virus apparently.  My computer has not been the same since and is practically unusable which is not good because I need it for work.  If someone could review the following Hijack-this log and tell me what the deal is, I would great appreciate it.  I am currently logged in as an Admin in Safe Mode and ran hijack-this in this mode as well (not sure if that is ok or not?).

Still NO services running for your Security programs like Nortons, What security programs are you using?? seeing as it's an unknown Malware to this point some program running may be required. I Notice that 2 Iexplore.exe are running.

Are we supposed to help them if they don't have Norton; they seem to have no trace of Norton and stumbled across this forum ...

Hi Techie

 

It depends on what is going on as at the moment NO services are showing which is very wrong so what every this PC has may be blocking the startup of services.

SO although Hijackthis.log doesn't show Norton or any other security software as there is no (O23) doesn't mean the person doesn't have Nortons.

Not to worry guys, I have 3 computers that I use and 2 of them have norton and my whole family uses norton as well, now if they just understood routine maintenance they would be in the clear.

 

Thanks to Quad's genius diagnosis skills my computer is back to new again.  I am shocked at how well Quads steps worked.  I followed each of them and not only were the virus's found and deleted my pc is running much quicker, which had been causing quiet a few headaches for me over the past month or two.

Just so everyone who reads this knows, I would receive pop-ups from a website that said “Virus Removal 360” and then would display a blue screen stating that it would be forced to shut down do to hardware issues “090X00000” etc…which I knew was not true, this was all part of the virus.

You could download also, SuperAntispyware Free and Malwarebytes Antimalware.

 

Now sounds like You had some sort of Trojan that was giving you a fake alert to a point of the blue screen to try and get you to download a Rogue Security Program "Virus Removal 360"?   or similar.
