Video logging not working from one of our computers

Affected machine profile:

  1. Windows XP Home - version 2002 SP3
  2. Chrome - 22.0.1229.94
  3. Child has a limited user account
  4. NSM version 2.3.0.27
  5. no other Norton/Symantec Products
  6. Microsoft Security Essentials - version 2.1.1116.0

We have multiple computers that are protected using NOF premium. My daughter's netbook doesn't seem to trigger entries in the video logs, though other systems on our account do.

 

In an effort to clear this up, I've removed and reinstalled NSM on the device in question.

 

The other systems that are working are not Windows XP, but rather Windows 7, not sure if that plays a role in this or not.

Can you please try Internet Explorer or Firefox on the PC to watch videos to see if it  helps?

Viewing a video in IE did seem to tickle it into behaving. I'm now logging from Chrome as it should. Thanks for the tip!

 

In case it's helpful for someone else, I:

  • watched a video in IE
  • saw that it was logged,
  • rebooted the netbook
  • watched a video in Chrome and it was logged too
