I have depended on the secure online backup feature for 360 instead of physical discs for some time now. A neighbor had both their laptops stollen recently and that set me thinking about how much I might depend on these files if something happened to our laptops. I want to view what Norton has backed up on line just to reassure myself that all my critical files are there. How do I access my online backup and view the files or at least the directories? The Help instructions in the product and online were not at all helpful in giving me a procedure to follow.

Nope. This did not solve my problem. I signed into the NOBU URL with my credentials. The progress bar in the upper right showed I have 900 meg of backed up files, but I could find no way to display or for that matter recover any of those files, should the need arise. Net, the capability appears to be functioning but useless. Providing a false sense of security.
Its not like Norton to nickle and dime customers or mis- represent its product offerings. So what am I missing here?

Hi adechovitz,
What are you seeing when you log into NOBU? If you have a computer/set listed then there should be a button to the right that says File Actions. If you click on that, you can select "Restore files" to browse files which are backed up and available for restore.
Similarly in N360 if you want to view your backed up files and restore you would open the N360 client, mouse over Backup and select "Restore Files", then you can select the backup set you wish to restore from (I have to press "View All" over on the right and then select a set from the window that pops up). From there you can click on the button that says "Browse for Files and Folders" to view a list of files that are backed up.
If either of those isn't working please let us know which step is not working as expected.
In NOLB, when I have signed in I get a progress bar in the upper right hand corner showing 900meg saved. There are no computers or file sets listed and no action buttons. There is a bunch of stuff about signing up for the premium service, but as you can see I am not using even half of all the free space.
In N360, after I select Restore and choose a file set to view/restore, the system runs for a while and then returns a screen that shows no files found. Since there is 900meg on the server and shown on the file set screen, this is obvioulsy not working correctly.
I did some screen capture .jpg files, pasted them into a single word document and created a pdf using acrobat.com. I then tried to attach these screen shots to this message so you could see what I am seeing, but when I browse to the file and select it, I get a message that "norton images.pdf" does not exist. Which is odd since I had just selected it. This dialog has failed 2-3 times so it appears to be either operator error or a feature - you choose.
Any help you can offer so that I can confirm my back up files are there and can be accessed if I need them would be appreciated.
It definitely seems like something is amiss. I can look into your account and get it sorted out - if you'd like, send me either a PM or an email and I'll get from you the personal information necessary.
