Hai all,
For the past 3 days I'm trying to download VIPAccessSetup.exe from the url:
https://idprotect.vip.symantec.com/desktop/downloaddesktopclient.v
but the problem is that the download never shows up completed, neither its file size is shown.
The download rate is **bleep** slow as 10 to 15kbps in a 1 mbps connection!
I tried with IE, Google chrome, FF and Free Download Manager, But all shows the same problem.
The download goes maximum of 20Mb in Free Download Manager(FDM) , all others end up downloading upto 5 or 6Mb.
Searching on google showed that total file size is around 35 - 40Mb.
Is there any alternative location to download the software?

Thanks for reply.
I had tried disabling automatic download monitoring in FDM, which inturn handed over the download to browser's inbuilt download managers. This too didnt seem to work. Currently I'm away from my system and I'll try to download it from any other PC.

This is the screenshot, when I try to download it via FF from a public internet facility distant from my location. Same thing....
Unknown Time Remaining!
I tried it via link provided (by peterweb) saving to two different folders in my system. I'll wait and see if it finishes downloading as the connection speed seem to be good now.

Just now it finished downloading file VIPAccessSetup.exe
Its showing a size of 25.8Mb. Is it right?
Anyway happy to see it has finished downloading atleast after a 3 day try
