I work for a company who relies on a custom built DOS based application for client reports. Because of this, we haven't been able to upgrade from Win 2K. We have a subscription for NAV 2006.
With Windows 2K becoming more and more absolete, I am trying to convince my associate to try running our DOS application on Windows 7 with virtual PC. He believes that we can stay on Win 2K forever as long as we have extra win 2k computers on hand and back up copies of all our software in case of a crash.
One points I am trying to make is eventually Norton will stop updating their virus definitions for NAV 2006. He doesn't think this is true. Any thoughts?
